Africa Entertainment In America (AEIA) is a Television and Film Production company committed to making African content for global audiences. AEIA forms part of the Known Associates Group (KAG), founded by Entrepreneur and Producer, Tshepiso Chikapa Phiri in 2014. KAE was established in 2018 as part of KAG’s expansion strategy and is a partnership between Tshepiso Chikapa Phiri – who is the majority shareholder making KAE a majority black female owned company – and Emmy Award winning Producer/Director, Dan Jawitz. Reknowned film financier and Executive Producer, Joel Phiri, is the company’s chairperson.

AEIA develops and produces original in-house content across genres with a wide range of partners. These include Moonlighting Films, SABC, VIU, ETV, Canal Plus, the National Empowerment Fund, Indigenous Film Distribution, National Film and Video Foundation (NFVF), the Department of Trade, Industry and Competition and more.
